Hi Rob, there's over 50 people at an FAOL Fish-In right now where you are going to be. They are right where three rivers, (the Clearwater, the Lockshaw, and the Selway) all come together, near Lowell, Idaho. It's the second year they have gone there for a Fish-In. And now that has become their Main Fish-In, the one the most people attend. I would reccomend you go to www.flyanglersonline.com and go to the bulletin board and or the chat room and ask around there. Lots of very knowledgable people there. mark(willow)

I have not fished the Clearwater, but I have fished the Grand Ronde in the
same area.

You want to hook up with Twin River Anglers in Lewiston, ID
(http://www.traflyfish.com/). They are a nice little shop that is quite near
the Clearwater. Their website has a ton of information, just for a guy like
you.

When we fished the Grande Ronde, we fished with NW Standard patterns: Green
Butt Skunk, General Practitioner, Skykomish Sunrise and the like. While we
did not land a fish on that trip, we connected with many in the 2 days that
we were there.

Also water temperatures look like surface flies would be good, sofa pillow and
bomber are my favorites.
