Hi Tony,
They're not the same. I bought their saltwater rod (great rod) 2 yrs ago. The one I just built is a G.Loomis Slate (IMX).

What I would suggest is have the rod info and send a message to Ray at Dorber. He makes
the blanks and can tell you what you want to know about the blank. [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I think Martin's blank might be the same as yours. Not sure though.

Tony,

Thanks for the advice. I don't know if the blanc is too soft for me. I
intend to use it on the Rhine and occasionally sea trout hunting at the
baltic see - never did that in the past, but have friends there.
I wanted to ensure, that the rod is stiff as possible. I hope that this
allows me to cast a smaller loop and get more distance.
Best
Rene

The extended wraps will stiffen it some. I am thinking, how do you know the blank
will be too soft. Most of the Dorber blanks that I have cast have been on the stiff
side for me. Adding some extra guides will also stiffen the blank.
