They're not the same. I bought their saltwater rod (great rod) 2 yrs ago. The one I just built is a G.Loomis Slate (IMX).

Thanks for the advice. I don't know if the blanc is too soft for me. I intend to use it on the Rhine and occasionally sea trout hunting at the baltic see - never did that in the past, but have friends there. I wanted to ensure, that the rod is stiff as possible.
