Extended warrenties are one of the biggest rip-offs going. I bought them though on both of my trucks. The last one being an extra 4K for a 100K mile warrenty. I've been told it's the best money you'll ever throw away. Just seems like nothin ever breaks that's covered until a mile after the warrenty expires. I think they design the cars/trucks to do that. You cover your ass by buying it, but rarely does it ever save you a buck by kicking in when you need it. I guess it's just a better safe than sorry situation. But how often are you ever not sorry you got it? LMAO. mark

I used Car Fax and had a mechanic inspect it..bought it from a reputable
dealer..(I'd known and had him work on my car for 20 years) and he suggested
that even he did not know exactly what the car had though it was in fine
condition now. I did buy the warranty..and so far, no problems so it was
wasted money. Mine had 50,000 miles on it when I bought it, was a fleet car
in Colorado and the dealer had purchased it in an auction in Texas. So, if I
were doing it again, I'd save the $1000.00 that the extended warranty
covered. Just my 2 cents worth. Joyce
