Well folks,
Thought I would share some good news with you...( it will be partially
FF related).
A friend of mine is retiring after 35 years in the aircraft parts and
salvage business. He approached me a couple of weeks ago with an idea and we
have been hashing out the details since then. I will be taking over his
complete inventory of Piper and Cessna, ( as well as other brands), and
moving all of the stuff here. I will have to catalogue it and market it but
will get a minimum of 50% commission on sales. He will also direct all
repair and restoration work to me and I will continue to do "Specialized"
repairs for him. It will take a bit to get everything up and running but
promises to make an actual income for us as well as working within the
limitations of my disability. I can grow as the business grows. I might even
be able to get a decent computer....
What this means is that I will actually have an something that can
compel me to think about fishing and get back to fly tying without feeling
guilty. Puts a whole new spring in ones step, ( in my case an additional
wobble in my gait). It will be nice to have some income from my labor, even
though the business community regards me as "Unemployable".
Now, lets see what we can do at the bench....... "Employment Swap" ??
