Thanks to all who participated in the VFB Vehicle Survey.  It was fun, informative and I for one picked up some new ideas for my truck.

NOW FOR THE RESULTS

Pick Ups were by far the most popular vehicle with 12 out of the 24 responding owning pickups
SUV's were second with 6 of 24.
Station Wagons and Sedans tied at 2 of 24
Vans - Only one of you used a van
No vehicle - Tony's wife won't let him drive her's the 52 feet from his house to the river.

There were  7  4X4 vehicles, 4 pickups and 3 SUV's

Modifications/new ideas
1. Space blanket - a definite addition to my stuff from now on!
2. Canoe/Kayak rack
3.  Fix-A-Flat
4.  Tool box in bed of truck
5.  Sleeping rack/air mattress/sleeping bag
6.  Rod racks in ceiling
7.  Rod racks on top of vehicle
8.  Extra wool blankets - I keep two in all my vehicles year-round
9.  Family sized First Aid Kit
10. Tarp - at least an 8X10
11. Extra coat and rain gear, extra clothes - warm
12. Plenty of bottled water
13. Energy bars and other non-perishables
14. Extra gloves
15. Walkie Talkies and CB for vehicle
16. Hand warmers

Better safe than sorry.  One of my greatest fears is being stranded  in a snow storm. We don't have that kind of problem in Central Texas, but I'm prepared just in case.   Take last week, when the temp in Wyo dropped 50 degrees in a matter of a couple of hours and 7" of snow came down - If I hadn't had my operation, Jody and I would have been on I-80 at that time.  Chilling thought!
