My post wasn't meant to be political either. I just wanted to express my feelings on what yesterday was all about. It's folks like the Colonel you work with that are worth remembering, not just on Veteran's Day, but every day of the year. They are making sacrifices that many of us aren't prepared to make, because of the duty they feel they owe their country. Again, God Bless them all.

Mark, thanks for the good reminder. I work with a colonel in the reserves who just got back from Irag. He was with a surgical support team (he's a nurse anesthetist) and said that they were with a forward unit that spent much time taking care of Irag people as well as the soldiers. He said that many of the Irag people would have only one word or two and say over and over, "freedom, thank you". He feels that this will take 5-7 years to have things for the Irag people in place, but is absolutely certain that we should be there. Now..don't want to get in any political discussion, and am not a war person, but do get a new perspective working with him as he was there. He expects his unit will go back again in January or February. Joyce
