Hi Mark, thanks for the tips. RE: your comments above, the nicest presentation I saw like this was someone had drilled a row of holes into a 1"x 2" piece of stock, finished off the the top edges and stained it furniture quality. In each hole he had put an upside down Radio Shack wire gripper (the push button plastic type we are all so familiar with). Then in each of the clips was one fly with each tying stage presented in order, from the first step all the way to the finished fly. Really looked cool, and I think it contributed to people's understanding of what they were seeing the tyer do.
