NOT!!!!!!!!!!! The furled leader, esp out of mono acts like a spring.
Ask anyone that has used them more than once.

OK for now Del, if you say so. Admittedly I've only used ones made out
of thread (many more times than once), some with a few strands of GSP
for strength. I'll test your theory this winter (by loading them with
weight) to see if it holds water.
