In store like Michaels and Joann's, in the flower section, you will find little bunches of pestils. That is the part of a flower that sticks straight out of the center. It looks like a tiny q-tip.
They come in several colors and are reasonably light. They won't add much weight to the fly.
Give me your snail mail and I will send you a few.

Any idea how to tie on some good realisitc eyes on slightly large dryflies? not the standard lead eyes or bead chain eyes on streamers and nymphs but something else?
