How do you like your Ballan Heirloom?
I have the Large Heirloom, next one up from
the Baby Ballan. I last used it for a weeks fishing
on the Elk River in BC last Sept. I found it ok
but when it got wet it became quite rough until it
dried out. It certainly doesn't like water.
Something to do with the spring loaded spool
I suspect. I have a WF5 Cortland 555 floating ghost
tip on it but not much room for backing. Had to use
gel spun spiderwire for backing.
