I want to post this before I fergit!~

Shopping at Radio Shack and I discovered they had Bristle Tac. You get four 1x3 inch self-adhesive strips for $2.99 (12 sq. inches). The package is called Superlock Fasteners and it is located in the same section as electrical tape.

At the local dollar store, I ran into some nice plastic boxes for use as fly boxes. These were two styles of boxes meant for ZIP computer diskette storage. The manufacturer is Fellowes, a common brand. One product is a box of four colored translucent clamshell boxes roughly 3.75" x 4" x 1/2". These are made of the durable plastic where the material forms its own box hinge, not the fragile jewel case types. I don't know the retail price of these, but I picked up the package of four for 95 cents.

The other Fellowes-manufactured box is a single box, about a half inch bigger and a little deeper, but sleek appearing with a slide thumblatch. The box looks a LOT like the metal Ketchum Release fly boxes. This was on sale at the dollar store for 95 cents for one box. I opted for the four clear boxes above.

I haven't had a chance to check if these boxes are still available at a office or computer supply store, but they are both a very nice size for a nymph or dry fly box. If I line both inside lids of the clamshell box with Bristle Tac, I get 18 sq. inches of storage for flies for less than a dollar. There is sufficient depth in the box for a foam insert, if that is what you prefer.
