Hey Bill,
   Well, my eyes are bothering me everytime I'm in my room tying. I have a 10 x 10' room in the basement set up just for my fly tying and fishing needs. It has 4 / 6" high hats in the ceiling then on the desk I use the "clamp-on" halogen light plus the magnifier (bad spelling) with a 60 watt bulb in that. They are ALL on when I'm tying. You should also look into putting a small TV in the room with a VCR to look at all the fly fishing and fly tying shows. I built one into the wall so it doesn't take up to much space. It's always great to have something to listen to while tying. The stereo is hooked up in the room too. Now all I need is a small refrigerator and I'll never leave the basement :)
