Hi Joyce, i had tried to reply to you when the "list" went down. to tell you that i'm a big Hans Weilenmann fan. I've been fortunate to be able to spend time with him at the Delaware River Club on the West Branch, here in Roscoe and vacinity, and in Montana. He is so knowledgeable about fly fishing/casting/tying that it is a very special chance to get to learn a lot. Plus he's a really nice person. Are you getting one of the size 32 hooks to tye on too? lol. mark

I have gone to using woolly nylon more and more as the bodies on the really
slim flies. Just "harvested" bunches of midges from the river and was, once
again, amazed at how very slim the bodies on these flies were. I could best
imitate them with a woolly nylon body instead of a tiny whisp of
dubbing..much smoother (and under the microscope, the wooly nylon really
looked like the hairs on the tiny bodies). Still use dubbing, but much
less. Woolly nylon makes a great floss subsitute as well. Joyce
