This particular pattern calls for antron to be tied in at back of hook and brought foward, tied to flare slightly and form a bubble shape.

That sounds like a Gary LaFontaine pattern, the Sparkle Pupa. A similar pattern is the Iris Caddis. The Antron is meant to mimic an air bubble that caddis pupa clutch to assist them to rise to the water surface. Then they emerge and fly away as a caddis adult. Antron has a shimmery, sparkly quality that indeed looks like an air bubble.
