[VFB] California Bound

It looks like I will be heading to California after Christmas to visit 
some in-laws.  They live near the ocean between LA and San Diego.  I'd 
like to do some fishing when I'm down there.  Does anyone have any 
suggestions, or would anyone like to have an excuse to go fishing with 
another list member?
