[VFB] Hook and hackle

Anyone ever built a rod from a hook and hackle rod blank?  If so, are the prices on 
the website before the 40% discount?  For instance I am looking at a 6 ft 2 wt blank, 
and it is 47 bucks, so will it actually cost me 28?  ARe they blanks decent?
