Whatever your faith may be, I want to take time out from my daily Quotes to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season and also wish the best for you and yours in the coming year.  I've been a member of the VFB List for a little over three years now, and without my daily dose of VFB happenings, I feel a little empty.  The days the VFB server was down were particularly hard on me. ;-)   And from the "off list" emails I received, it appears that some of you were similarly affected. I also noticed that FFW, (flyfishing world list) had a deluge of posts during the VFB Blackout.  I recognized most of the email addresses as VFB members who also belong to the FFW.  And then there was a sudden flurry of posts from the HCFF, (Hill Country Fly Fisher's List).  Most of them are VFB members also.  Are we addicted?  Sure looks that way!

Cheers!

P.S. Thanks Byard, for all you do for us on the VFB.  With your hard work and creativity, the VFB is without a doubt, the premier fishing list on the net.  I salute you and what you do for a bunch of neat guys and gals, and a few Carmudgeons like me.  Obviously there'd be a big empty spot in most of our lives without the VFB.  My dues are due in February, but I think  I'll go ahead and pay them now.  My best to you and yours this holiday season.
