In fact, I have 15 pounds of burled black walnut wood coming in the mail, but no lathe. Let me know when you get that thing figured out and I'll send you a chunk.

Got my Christmas present to myself today, a "mini" woodworking lathe. The bed extends up to a 10" boom. I'll be using it mostly for turning wooden reel seats. I think I can adjust the motor speed by changing out one of the pulleys. If so, I'll be able to use it to wrap rods and also to apply Flex-Kote. You absolutely will not believe the price of this neat little rig.
