Deb, want to "Know" how to fix your mail persons problem ??
I had the same problem when we lived on N. 13th in Artesia. Our mail
person would loose mail, deliver bills 10 days after they were due, leave
"Failure to deliver" notices when we were at home and many other things.
Repeated calls to the post office had no effect, in fact, things got worse
with the complaints.
I wrote a letter, requesting an investigation into our mail carrier.
According to the USC, it is a "Federal Offense" to tamper with the "Delivery
of or delay of Postmarked Mail". I sent this letter to the Post Master at
the Artesia Post office, as well as the President of the US, the US Attorney
General, "All" of my Congressman and Senators. Nice thing was, I mailed the
one to the local post master 14 days "After" mailing the ones to the other
"Interested" parties.
I received a "Personal Phone call" from the postmaster, informing me
that my service would "Definitely Improve", if not to call him directly.
Funny thing, we had "Perfect" mail service after that, not a single
problem, even the day when it was raining 2" per hour, our mail person came
to the door with a package, "neatly tucked under her rain coat".

Just a thought and suggestion.
Jimi, ( don't mess with me when my taxes pay your salary)

I wish I was kidding. Half the time she passes by her supervisor is two
minutes behind her. All I can say is that the postal workers must have a
great union! I don't put anything in my mailbox since some of my bills
never made it to their destination. I found one of my neighbors car
payments in the street. She's broke my mailbox twice and left nasty notes
for me. You know that saying... through rain, snow, sleet or shine? Well
you can forget that!!! :) I could go on but I gave up on her long ago.
I would be surly and mean too if I had to drive my car from the right hand
side with one leg over the council and pressing on the gas and brake pedal!
<VBG> Apparently on a rural route (don't ask me why.... we do have
sidewalks!) they have to provide their own vehicles and she can't afford to
buy one that drives from the right side of the car. My only form of
entertainment I get out of her!!!
Deb
