Mark, I know of Hot Creek, but you (or rather I) am looking at an 8 hr drive to get there for me. Where I'm planning on trying this year is only a 2 hour run and I don't have a lot of extra time this now for the trip. I'm waiting for a spring trip for Hot Creek and the Lower Owens and I'll take a few days to do it right. Thanks for the recommendation though :-)

Now new yrs day Mr. Wilson, nice to meet you. In case you don't know..........there is one hell of a fishery near you there in Calif. I'm from Calif. so when i say "near you" i mean in Calif. terms, lol. It's called Hot Creek, NOT to be confused with Hat Creek. I've fished Hat Creek and it is also one hell of a fishery. One of the finest spring creeks in the world. I've never fished Hot Creek, but i have read a lot about it, and talked with folks how have fished it. It is, one the densist trout streams in the country in terms of trout populations. Actually it may be in the top three in the country after the Green River in Utah and the Bighorn in Montana. It has something like 11K trout per mile. I think the Green is 13/14K trout per mile. I sure hope to get there one day. Good luck. mark >From: "Jim Collins" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Reply-To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Subject: RE: [VFB] was SPEAK ENGLISH?
