Morning folks,
Well, New Years Eave day found Theresa and myself working on finishing
up my new office. 3 years of planning and doing what I could with what I
had, thanks to a few unseen blessings it got closed in, insulated, dry
walled, roofed and carpeted between Christmas and the new year. New years
day the computer and office furniture came down out of the bed room and got
moved to the office. My fly tying bench is a disaster right now, it will
stay in the bed room but I still have to clean the corner up where the
computer was so I can move it and then put everything back in place. We
finely got all the computer desk, book shelves, drafting table and a ton of
books moved and put in place late Saturday night. Sunday I worked on putting
the computer back together and getting on line. Repeated tries to connect
were useless. I checked the new phone line several times and still no dial
tone. I was just about to head for town today for a new cable run but had a
thought early this morning. I swapped out the line from the modem to the
wall socket and "Viola", it works.
So, this is the first message to the group from my new "Office". 26*
outside before dawn, 72 cozy degrees here at the desk, (Must have den
something right).
Amanda picked up 2 packages for me at the post office on Friday, I did
not get a chance to look at them until yesterday when Theresa "Forced" me to
take a break. The Capes are here so I will start plucking today, or this
evening, and try to get them all done and out by Wednesday at the latest.
Some really fine looking feathers here folks, as usual, Don O, Byard and
Whiting did a marvelous job. You folks are going to be impressed.
Need to get off here and answer a bunch more mail so everyone have a
good day and a very prosperous and fun 2004.
