Does anyone have a recipe for mixing fluorescent chartreuse dye? I have seen one suggestion that says to use fluorescent yellow plus a non-fluorescent turquoise. What happens if you mix fluorescent yellow and fluorescent green? Any other suggestions?
Here's a progress report: One source of true fluorescent dyes marketed for tying is Flydye: http://www.organicdye.com/fphotos.asp (Organic Dyestuffs Corp.)
The company confirms that fluorescent yellow, hot pink, and bright orange all are colors that will glow under a blacklight (i.e. are fluorescent). I have seen a sample of the fluorescent yellow, (requested a color sample card earlier) and the color is indeed brilliant.
The company did say that there was no way to make chartreuse fluorescent, but they might have misunderstood my question about a formula to make fluorescent chartreuse out of fl. yellow plus another non-fl. color.
So far three sources for true fluorescent dyes: Veniard's (UK) Dylon (UK) Organic Dyestuffs (US)
Repeat of the question: does anyone have a formula for mixing a fl. chartreuse? How about a recipe for mixing regular non-fluorescent chartreuse?
We thank you,
