and welcome to the list. My name is Chris, and I'm not that far from you, Temecula, Ca. Glad to have you on board. I'm sure you'll enjoy the wealth of info that comes from this list. A great bunch of people! As to washing your waders in the washing machine, you didn't say what kind, but don't do it. You may find a few new leaks afterward. If they have been completely dry for 30 days or more, you should be OK, but if you're not sure, try what the alert says. Just put a big pot on the stove, bring it up to temp. (a thermometer required here) and soak said waders. Make sure to check with the manufacturer first. The one who would know best on this is probably Dean Endress, as he fishes the Owens frequently, and may have some other means of eradicating this pest. What say you Dean? Are you out there?
