Evening Jim,
Long day here in SE NM. It was 16 here at 4:30, warmed up to 68. About
to head off to bed and try to get some "Rest". Take care of your heart and
thing "Warm" thoughts. Theresa and Amanda "Cringe" at the thought of snow.
Jimi, ( finishing out the shop and office, things my doctor says not to do,
but it has to be done).
Good morning folks,
Still not thawed out here in NW Oregon today. We now have the same 8 to 10
inches of snow, but there is close to 1/2" of ice over the top of it.
Portland Airport is shut down and will not open till 5:00 am tomorrow at
earliest. Yesterday we did not get any mail service at our house, what
happened to the post office slogan?? I'm in city limits, it's not as if I
live 10 miles down a gravel road in the hills or something. The kids did get
out in the afternoon to play a bit and my son (who is almost 4) could walk
across the snow/ice without sinking in unless he stomped his feet. It looks
like we're going to remain frozen for the rest of today but tomorrow we're
supposed to get up to about 48 degrees. So far still no power problems in
our area (fingers crossed) but in other areas there are quite a few people
without power.
Well I guess it's over to the tying vise for a bit.
