Your basic list would depend on what kind of flies you would like to tie.
I'm sure we could all help you put together a basic list.  Are you tying for
trout and do you want to tie dry flies or wet flies?  Do you have any
favorite flies that you really turn to the most where you fish?  Give us
more information and I bet some good suggestions will come pouring out from
the list.
