Breathable waders are warmer in all seasons, weigh MUCH less if your hiking at all, easier to pack, and make wading safer. I'll never go back to my cold, heavy, leaky neoprenes.
I tried three brands of breathables on my way to getting a Gortex pair, and I didn't notice a lot of difference between the breathability of the various breathable fabrics. There can be a BIG difference in quality of construction, however, and that is where to put your money.

I have may 5 or 6 holes not on seams that occured when I attempted to scale out a taelus slope of sharp rock and climbed on my knees. I don't do that anymore and have gone to gore-tex or PVC. but I would love not to throw the damn things away because I couldn't find the holes!!!
Anyone suggest anything?
