Subject: [VFB] Soldier In Iraq Swap ( Please read)

Two weeks ago I met a young soldier in church, he was home on leave. His
name is sgt Robert Doran. Now he is back in Iraq. He was wounded in a
grenade attack, luckily not seriously, but he did get a purple heart.
Robert served a tour in Korea and was supposed to be stationed Colorado.
Robert loves to fish and really wants to flyfish. He bought all the gear
he needed to fly fish, but the war in Iraq has interferred with that.
What I was thinking as a way of thanking him for being a soldier and
make his time left in Iraq a little easier. Would it be possible to make
up a box flies for him to use when he gets home. What would be neat is
if every vfb'er could send me one fly. Not a show fly, but a fly out of
your flybox. I'll put them in a flybox and send them to him. I think it
would be a great way to show him that we are proud of our people in the
military and we do care about them. all I'm asking for is one fly from
as many vfb'ers as possible. Please send them to my address:

Toe tag your flies so he can see who sent what.
Thanking you in advance. Dan Gober
