If your going to use copper tube.....

1.cut to length about 1/2 to 1 inch any longer you may need a two hand salmon rod

2.file ends clean and de-burr outer edge

3.de-burr inside edge with a small sharp twist drill.

4.hold the tube in a drill chuck and run at high speed while you push wire wool onto the tube, this should polish the end inside and out.  Wear gloves.  You can get hurt doing this.  whynot just use plastic tube ?? it casts better and dont cut the line.

with metal tubes using a plastic liner will protect your line
