That's funny Rick. The pond at the CFFC&M is 70 ft. deep. It was a quarry
for the Quickway, (New Rt. 17) back when the we're building it, and then
they hit an artision well. Thing filled up and there was a D-8 down
there.......still there they say. Rt. 17 is now going to become I-86 wonder
what Harry Darbee would think, or if he's rolling over in his grave. He
fought long and hard along with TGF to stop construction of the Quickway. He
lived right on old Rt. 17, right above Hazel Pool on the Willowemoc. I'm
about 3 miles downstream of that, also right on the Willow, hence my handle.
You ever in the area, come on over and get some fishin' in.
