Is that Brass wire that the material attaches too on the streamer and 
steelhead fly? Is it just the twisted after taken out of the tool????

The wire is used to force the material down into the table clamp. It 
is then slid out from the side. When placing feathers into the clamp, 
the quill of the feather is used to pull the fibers into the clamp.
