Subject: [VFB] Fly Swap Announcement

Hi All again.

I'm finally going to de done with this project in a couple of weeks, so I
want to get back in the swing of things by meistering another fly swap.
It's been 4 long months in the field, and I'm ready to start tying again and
being part of the vfb, besides just being a 'week-ender'.

What I'm thinking of is a classic dry fly swap using the co-op hackles if
you were in that swap. If you weren't, that's okay, you can still be in the
swap. What this swap will be is your version, variation, enhancement,
improvement, alteration- whatever you want to call it- to that pattern.
Classic dries, parachute patterns, caddisflies, etc. are all welcome. I
would like to keep the size range from 12 to 16. For those who use the
rope-dub in their patterns, I'm planning a rope-dub pattern page for my
website, and your flies will be shown, if you allow. For those who use
Wingers, again I'll use them with your permission on a Whiting feather page
I'm planning also.

If anyone wants to tie up the Adams, and does not have cree hackle to do it,
let me know and I will send you some to complete the swap. Just let me know
the size range. Also, if anyone ants to use Wingers for their versions, let
me know if you need some, and what color/size. If you would like to use
cree as a variation in a different pattern, let me know and I'll send you
some for that.

I'd like to limit this swap to 15 tiers, with another set going to Byard, so
that's 16 flies.
THe standard swap rules apply- a box, toe-tags, and some return postage.
The deadline will be April 30th, unless extended- need to get these flies on
the water for spring fishing. :o)

And one more thing. The tier of my favorite fly of the swap gets a mouse.

Any takers?
