Hi VFB,
I am corresponding with Max, a Japanese friend of Tony Spezio. Max is a Japanese bamboo fly rod maker. I wanted to give him some SAAP body fur streamers in return for a favor he is doing for me, so I looked up trout sites in Japan to find the coloration of typical baitfish and trout fry there.
Wow. Did I ever find a neat site! This one is by 54-year old Yoshikazu Fujioka, an exhibition display designer, artist, and avid trout fisher.
First look here and click the illustration icons at the bottom of the page: http://www.itow.com/amago/index2.html
Here's a particularly nice section: http://www.itow.com/amago/earlysum2.html
And (whew!) take a look at these! (Don't miss em!) http://www.itow.com/amago/papercraft/papercraft2.html http://www.itow.com/amago/papercraft/papercraft2-2.html
