" But if you do go ice fishing, do not blame me when you get home, if
you do get home . . . . I think that the only important truth I have
left out is that a man gets fed up with being comfortable and sane."

Arthur R. MacDougal, JR.
"Fishing Through The Ice"
The Trout Fisherman's Bedside Book [1963]

As someone else has said: You can really improve your casting accuracy
if you can get the fly to drop in the hole in the ice.

And on a somber note about ice fishing.
Locally on Monday we had two fishermen go thru the ice where some current
had thinned it. One didn't "get home."
