Hi All, Last night at our TU local meeting Don Bastian delivered a fine lecture and slide show covering Ray Bergman's life. It was fascinating to learn how extensively Ray toured the US and Canada in connection with his writing. Don also talked very persuasively on the neglected value of traditional wet flies, showing some gorgeous examples of his own tying. He also mentioned that he will be visiting Chris Helm soon and that they're going to do a video of about ten wets tied by Don. It could be available in about two months. The lecture definitely made me want to read Bergman again and also to do some serious tying in the winged wet category. When I get the video I'll send a report.
