VFB listmembers were sent an email containing the Bagle.n internet worm. The particular message was:
subject line; Cotener-List @Charte....
subject; [VFB]Encrypted Document

The problem with tracking a virus or worm is that the person listed as the sender almost never has anything to do with the actual culprit who is trying to mess up your computer. These virus writers are getting very sophisticated. Things will CERTAINLY get worse before they get better.

We run a web design and development business and part of our service is to warn our clients when virus attacks are imminent. Part of our 'early warning system' is something everyone at VFB should act on:

BE WARNED: Sign up for this virus alert newsletter from McAfee.com:
< http://dispatch.mcafee.com/us/default.asp>
(This alerted us to to the Bagle.n virus and what to look for TWO WEEKS AGO).

BE WARY: Give this list to friends and family members:
<http://us.mcafee.com/root/genericURL_genericLeftNav.asp?genericURL=/ VirusInfo/VIL/virus_tips.asp&genericLeftNav=/VirusInfo/VIL/vil_nav.asp>

I should also add: own an Apple Macintosh computer, but that's stretching things a bit *grin*.
