Hi Rick
I found the instructions. Medium tubing.
Here is a quick drawing of the Little Trout and it is very important that the Mylar Tube is solid in the braid,if it is to loose, you will have trouble at once. When I tie in the body with the hook eye, I let theMylar Tube be icm in over the hook eye. I'm tying the Mylar very solid in, and i go back with the thread to the bend. Then I tke the Mylar and ofrm the body(inside our) over the hook shank to the bend.
I use 1 long piece of Mylar so shall beOVER/UNDER. Take the Mylar in over the hook eye (width of the Mylar) and lay first one part over and lock it with the bend, and let it stick out. Take the other part of the Mylar and lay it under and lock this part also and cut off Myler fiber from the part under with the bend..
Now you can form the tail as you want (length). I use super glue all over the body and back on the tail after I have painted it.

You only needs 2 pieces of Mylar Tube, one for body and one long for over/under.
This pattern came from Norway.
I was unable to locate the picture.
Hope this is some help.
