I've seen a lot of fish mounts using drift wood or weathered wood. The wood is cut so it is flush with the wall. The rocks are usually a putty or plaster that has texture spayed on. The best display I've seen is the tree stump with a few roots that was about 20 to 24"
tall and the roots extended about 6 - 8" and the fish was mounted towards the middle. I don't like the faux rocks.

Hi,

I am doing a reproduction of a 20 Brook Trout I landed last year. The fish was hook by a log jam with a large root mass; there was also a large rock in deep water that the fish dove to. Have any ideas on how to do this display?

Thanks
