Usually general nymph pattens, golden stoneflies, Large mayflies, stimulators. Possibly some trico and spinner patterns. Royal Coachmans and Royal Wullfs are good for attractor flies. Streamers and Baitfish patterns for times when not a lot of hatches are coming off. I guess I'm saying I'd bring the whole arsenal if I were heading to the Big Sky Country.
:) Tell em' to have a great time and cast in the back yard a bit before he goes. Always good to have a handle on casting before you scare those wary Montana trout under a rock.
