Hi Joyce (and everyone),
Here's the pattern for my Eastern Green Drake Fuzzy- Wing. I tie this as large as
size 10, and as small as size 22, but the majority of them are in Mustad's 16 or 18
range. It's a dry fly that seems to imitate just about any pale-green mayfly and a
half-dozen other 'bugs'.

Hook: dry, down-turned head, 10-22

Thread: White (or Primrose, pale-yellow, etc) 8/0

Tail: 2 Olive Microfibbets, striped with brown permanent marker, tied short

Body: EGD Mix tied sparse (I make my own, and it's a lambswool-based mix; free samples
upon request... similar in texture to ligas, possibly more 'rough')

Wing: 1/2" strand (one strand of the four wound together) Pale Yellow Antron Yarn,
wrapped in the middle of the yarn - above the hook, then tied parachute style and
frayed.

Thorax: EGD Mix tied heavy, or EGD/Pale-Yellow 50%:50% mix tied heavy

Hackle: Grizzley, 1 size too large, NOT tied parachute, but "standard dry" (what is
this called??) with 2 wraps in front and 2 behind the parachute "fuzzy wing", around
hook.

Head: thread, I use red nail polish for color (or head cement, epoxy, etc.)

There you have it. I sometimes use Lady Amherst Tippets in place of the Microfibbets
for the tail, and sometimes bar/ stripe the fuzzy-wing with olive or brown permanent
marker before fraying. Best on slow or still water fished spent (down-across).

Hope this helps, and tight lines,
Pete
