here is a suggestion.
1. Do not use a personal name in your email address... as Spammers guess names it is pretty easy, they can just yuse name generators etc.
2. Spammers also pinch email adresses of web sites and bulletin boards.. don't publish it there.
3. Some web sites 'sell' email addresses to spammers.. so set a a seond address for registering at websites. Keep a separate 'safe' for your personal email for friends family etc....
