Subject: [VFB] heckuva day!!!

Hi all!!!  I'll try and keep this short....i started tying over this past winter....got about 14 or so to my credit so far.  Having a ball with it.  Today, i finally got to hit the White River (VT).  I grabbed my 5wgt Orvis and headed.  Long story short...i turned a good smallmouth and a heckuva brown on flies that I made!!!!!!  I only had one of each of my own and both were lost.  I was so excited to finally get on the water, i never checked the leader...New leader on tomorrow morning because i gotta get the vise set up after dinner tonite!!!!  I had two different patterns going but being ones I made, i have not put a name on them yet...but i did write down the recipe.  Anyone think my wife would be upset if i named one of the patterns after her???  It's homemade for me now...the store boughts i had tied on after i lost mine, didn't do a thing.

Byard..got my membership card today...maybe that's the reason i did so well today??
