thanks, Joyce -
I find it humerous that i just ordered Scintilla's dubbing swatch chart yesterday,
for the same reasons (to have some examples of the BCS and to get many different
colors for matching the hatch).

On a similar note, is it just me or is it crazy to be seeing female dun and male
spinner Isonychia bicolor's (White-gloved howdy) this early in the year? I *think*
that is what they are... duns have the tell-tale white front "legs", and a slate-grey
to deep-maroon-purple color in the body - very glossy, yet the thorax is a definite
rusty dark-brown color. Wings are VERY deep grey, highly subdivided with "veigns".
2-tailed mayfly, from my appraisal of the general wing-shape and such. I've been
asking for the BCS because I want to tie up a bunch of whatever the heck these are,
but my dubbings aren't even close to the shade... Well, that and I wanted the BCS
anyhow for reading <G>.

Does anyone know of a blood-maroon sparkly substance that could easily be mixed into
dubbing to give flash or sparkle (or "glossy-ness") to a dry? A tying friend
recomended "arctic dub", but I can't find it anywhere. If I get it in time, or hear
of another substance, I'll use that in some dubbing to tie up a bunch of size 16
Isonychia bicolor comparaduns for DonO's dry swap.

ANYHOW! Suggestions for what to mix into a flat-maroon dubbing to give
"glassy-ness" would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks all,and tight lines,
Pete
