Paul, never thought about your reply about the original thread spooler..but
must admit, I use Uni-threads almost exclusively, so this may be why I've
never had a trouble of any kind with consistency or thread tension spooling
from the Uni thread spools to the Norbobbin. I put the spool either on a
thread stand ( for big spools for sewing machines) or, when lazy, simply
drop it into an empty drink cup that is in the "studio". I do keep an even
tension on the thread with my fingers as I run the drill, and not at top
speed, as it heats up the thread against my fingers too much making it
uncomfortable. Perhaps this method avoids the problems with tension on the
thread as the tension is kept even by my fingers when I spool onto the
bobbins.
I spool woolly nylon and sewing thread on the little sewing machine
bobbins with my sewing machine when I use these in a standard bobbin as
ribbing or as the body of the Kim Yong flies. Joyce
