I was under the impression that the original Bloody Butcher had the feathers off a swamp bird from New Zealand that I am unable to recall the name of.

I'd think crow wing is still fine for a tying material... regardless, is this the "standard" butcher, with black hackle, that uses crow, or is it all? Just curious.
