Got to go out over the lunch hour and for an hour this afternoon to the lake.  The gills are in, with some bass spawning also. Took a while but finally figured out that the fly had to be just under the surface for the fish to hit it. Ended up using a size 16 PTN from some feathers that I had dyed. It had a red ostrich herl thorax.  Got 29 gills at lunch time.  This afternoon it was 25 gills and a 22" largemouth.  The largemouth was fun on that little hook.   Rick
