I think you are just looking for sympathy. First an ankle then this, I think there was something else that my old brain can't remember.

I'm laid up for a few days. Nite before last I tripped in the dark over my grandson's step stool by the bathroom sink, cracked three ribs, deep thigh bruise and busted three toes on left foot. Foot hit stool first, then thigh as I fell and finally the last was me bouncing off the edge of the stool on my left chest, just below my heart. I'm OK, but big bruise on left thigh and my left chest is sore as old Billy Hell! My posts from yesterday might not have made much sense, since I was under the influence of Vicoden.
I will keep the night lights on in our bathrooms from now on. :-P
All my fishing went out the window with the big rains we've had since last Sunday. Got another 5 inches from 3 p.m. yesterday through 6 a.m. this morning. Lake was already up 8 feet above normal pool. After all this and an 8 inch rain up river, I'm sure Lake Waco will rise another
8 feet. FLASH FLOOD warnings all over Texas. All the creeks, rivers and Arroyos are running full bore. My tank, which had evaporated down to 1/2 full, is now overflowing. My daughter called me this morning to let me know that they got a 7" rain at Leander and her tank got filled also. Her ranch is 1/2 mile from mine.
Oh Well, at least the farmers and us ranchers are enjoying the extra water this year.( 18" above normal for this time of year). Pastures are green and knee deep and the corn is tassling out as it reaches 6 feet in height. Last year tassled at 3 feet. NO CORN! Wheat farmers had a bumper crop. The only bad thing now is ranchers losing cattle due to flooding and people driving through low water crossings without paying attention to the water depth and flow. We have a bunch drown every time we get these gully washer rains.
Guess, I'll go fondle my Orvis Madison Penn's Creek bamboo and CFO reel. And maybe tie one or two size 30 TMC's.
Cheers,
JIMMY D
