I telephone friends and family in the UK all the time.
Now I don't know the cheapest rates from the USA as
I live in Canada but I can tell you this -
>From Canada I dial 011 then 44 for the country code
followed by the number, however you may have to drop
the 0 before the 1291.
To call via the cell phone will cost both him and you
unless he has a special plan.
I find calls to the UK to be quite cheap. I even phone the
fly shops in the UK to place any special orders.
There's the fly fishing content!

How do we place this call from the U.S. and the state of Oregon to get
