Subject: [VFB] New River Access??

Morning folks,
Had a nice visit with my neighbor yesterday. He passes on a bit of info
for me to consider. He was out a few weeks ago exploring and found an old
road to the river. Seams the entrance is fairly obscured by brush and he
found it by accident. It gives an excellent access to the river just below
the RR bridge and by traveling by canoe to the west you enter the top end of
the lake, by going east you have the river itself. It is a totally open area
so you can get right up to the river without fighting the salt cedars and
weeds. Amanda and I plan to check it out one day this week and see how it
looks. With the white bass starting to run it may be a good place to try.
Best thing is that it is less than 2 miles to the spot from the front porch.
Will let folks know when we get everything back together and get to try it
out.
Jimi
