Guys, when you get a chance, order some samples from Allan Podell, of his newest product. SD&T Javalina Quills. The SD&T stands for Specially Dyed and Treated. Most of them have a split end, and you can pull the in half length wise, which makes an even slimmer body when wrapped. They make a GREAT mosquito body.......GREAT segmentation. After he finishes his SD&T process, they are 100% water proof also. He has them in about 15 colors now also. Allan is the editor of the Catskill Fly Tyers Guild newsletter. Go to www.CFTG.org i think it is, and see if you can get him there. If not, respond and i'll get you his email addy. mark..........

For my mosquito bodies I use a strand of white and a strand of black moose mane wrapped at the same time side by side.
This gives you the segmented and striped body.
Coat with head cement
