Right, then the Bronco II then came out and hung around for awhile.  The Big Bronco came out during the time of the Bronco II and was made through 1990 and possibly later.  Maybe still.

Ken,

My choice would definitely be a 65 -72 Ford Bronco, the old square back
with a 302 V-8. The only problem is that they're hard to find and when
you do, the owner either won't sell or wants an arm and a leg for one.
I've had my eye on a red and white one at a used car dealer down the
road from me. He's been asking $8750 for two years. Last week he
dropped it to $7950. Of course, it's worth every penny for it has been
totally restored. If you can find one for around $4500 or less that is
in decent shape, tht would be a steal.

Hi Everybody,

I was just thinking about Don's post awhile back about the salmn8r.
I've been toying with getting a "fishing car" one day (when I finally
have some extra money). I think mine would be an older cherokee chief,
ford explorer, chevy blazer, or isuzu trooper. Something that most
places would be able to work on. That's not too expensive. That has 4
wheel drive. That's small enough to fit in semi-tight remote spaces.
That wouldn't draw undue attention to vandals & such. That could get
beat up and look even better. That could carry my kayaks/canoe.

Thoughts? What's your "ideal"?

Ken
